By Jimmy Sliwa
It’s no surprise that healthy marriages have a good dose of daily humor. But sometimes life gets in the way of enjoying a good laugh.
Don’t let life stressors rob your marriage of humor. Instead, practice humor to keep the laughter alive.
1. Flirt
Do you still flirt with your wife? Or have you just given up all together?
You may have thought that flirting was reserved for dating couples. But you would be wrong! Flirting is for all couples and it is one of the best ways to get your partner to chuckle.
Regular flirting is a sign of a healthy relationship. It keeps the relationship fun and lighthearted as well as turns up the heat on intimacy.

3. Have Inside Jokes
Have you ever been around a couple that seems to be whispering and smiling about something secret?
It makes you curious what they are talking about. The playful banter of an inside joke is a terrific way to share some laughs with your wife.
Having inside jokes with your wife creates a unique bond that no one else gets to share. You could laugh at a movie quote or have nicknames for each other….the possibilities are limited to your creativity.
Create your own inside jokes and don’t let anyone else in on the secret.
4. Plan a Quirky Date
Date night doesn’t have to be mundane. You can spice it up with some out-of-the-box dates. I can still remember when I took my wife to the Bingo Parlor after dinner.
We had a great deal of laughs seeing how serious the other Bingo players were. Plus, we were the youngest in the room by about 25 years.
