It’s October and the seasons are changing. This is the perfect time to cozy up and take your wife out on some dates. Fall can be a special time to reconnect after a busy summer. 

The cooling air and beautiful scenery make for a romantic month.

Carve out time on the calendar and make date night happen this October. For creative inspiration, check out our list of the 10 creative dates your wife will “fall” in love with. 

1. Pumpkin Carving Competition

Pumpkin carving is the best way to enter the holiday season. Grab your wife and two pumpkins and get to carving. Make it a friendly competition and ask your friends to vote which pumpkin is the most creative. 

You don’t have to stop there… take the pumpkin seeds and bake them for a healthy snack. 

2. U-Pick Farm Tour

Come harvest season many farms allow you to pick their crops. This is a great way to spend harvest time. After picking your favorite fruits and veggies, take them home and bake a sweet desert. 

3. Bonfire When the Kids Go to Bed

In October there is a cold bite in the air. Forgo the late-night TV show and opt to warm yourself by a fire. There is something about sitting around a fire that creates an atmosphere for great conversation. Bonus points if you have all the fixins for S’mores. 

4. Cafe Crawl

If coffee is your wife’s love language, then this is a must do date. Research local cafes in your area and jump from one cafe to the next. Together choose which cafe will be your favorite for future morning dates. 

5. Picnic in the Cemetary

Wait until dark and head to a cemetery. Bring glow sticks or candles along. To balance out the scary, pack a nice picnic. Choose a location and lay out a blanket with the candles. Share deep conversations like “what would you like people to say about you at your funeral?”

6. Homemade Haunted House

7. Saturday Morning Farmers Market

In the fall many towns have Saturday morning farmers markets. This is a wonderful way to spend the morning. Grab a coffee and go shopping for some fresh veggies. that night use the veggies in a home cooked meal. 

8. Picnic in the Park

Fall is the perfect time to plan a picnic in the park. The colors are out, and the days are still warm. Choose a new park and set up shop.

9. Play Scrabble Outdoors

Take your scrabble board and your third-grade spelling bee skills to the great outdoors. Be sure to pick a spot with a view of the fall colors. Set out a blanket and brings snacks to complete the ambience. Most importantly, be sure to enjoy the company. 

10. Catch a Local High School Football Game

Support the local high school by taking your gal to a high school football game. If it’s cold outside, bring a blanket to cozy up under.

After the game go out for some food and take time reminiscing about your high school experience.
